UPSC Results 2017 declared – Telangana student tops, check results
Union Public Service Commission UPSC has declared the results for the candidates for civil services for year 2018. Telangana candidate Anudeep Durishetty – serving for IRS ( Indian Revenue Service) topped this year. A total of 990 candidates are selected for serving the civil services in various departments.
The candidates can check their results at upsc.gov.in. Anu Kumari and Sachin Gupta secured the following second and third rank respectively. Of the total 990 candidates – 750 are men and remaining 240 are women.
The examination was conducted in November 2017 as written examination followed by interview this year. The results of the final candidates are declared today on Friday officially by UPSC on Twitter. 990 candidates will serving various departments including IAS, IFS, IRS and few others. Of which 476 are from general category and 275 are from backward classes.
Anudeep Durishetty, this year topper from Telangana is already serving at IRS, he was trained at Hyderabad. It was reported that he is more interested towards Indian Administrative Services. He is presently Assistant Commissioner.
According to the reports more than 9.5 lakh eligible candidates have applied for the examination, while 990 were qualified for the final posting. A three stage examination was conducted to filter the most eligible candidates. For results check the official site: upsc.gov.in
