Tamil Nadu CM meets Karunanidhi in Kauvery hospital, says DMK chief is recovering well
DMK president M. Karunanidhi’s health suffered a setback on Sunday evening but with medical support his vital signs became normal by night. He continues to receive medical assistance at Kauvery Hospital in Alwarpet, Chennai.
Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam arrive at Kauvery Hospital to enquire about DMK chief M. Karunanidhi’s health.
The Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister spent around 20 minutes in the Kauvery Hospital, where Karunanidhi is admitted.
Palaniswami, while addressing the media outside the hospital, said, “saw Karunanidhi in ICU. His health condition is stable.”
Meanwhile, Isha founder Jaggi Vasudev and MDMK general secretary Vaiko also visited Kavery hospital to inquire about the health of Karunanidhi. They met Stalin, Kanimozhi and others.
After visiting Kavery hospital, Palaniswami and Panneerselvam visited the government general hospital where veteran CPI leader D Pandian is being treated for respiratory problems. Both enquired his health.
The hospital issued a statement saying, “There was a transient setback in the clinical condition of Karuanidhi, DMK President and former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. With active medical support, his vital signs are normalising. He continues to be closely monitored and treated by the panel of expert doctors.”
