Google Pixel 3 XL White colour variant leaked, more details revealed
Google Pixel 3 XL rumours have been doing rounds over the internet for a while which continue to lend us minute details with every leak and speculation. And, the string continues with a new one which represents the aesthetics of a white Google Pixel 3 XL.
With the Pixel 3 and Pixel XL 3 expected to launch within the next few months, it’s no surprise that we’re starting to see an increase in leaks surrounding Google’s upcoming handsets.
which suggested that the bigger model will sport a display notch. A new set of live images of the alleged Pixel 3 XL surfaced online over the weekend which once again reveals the notch as well as the rear panel.
XDA Junior Member dr.guru shared some hands-on images of the Pixel 3 XL in a white colour variant. The images show that the XL model will sport a curvy notch and a significant chin. A likely reason for the bottom bezel being thicker is to make room for the second front-facing speaker. The notch will house a smaller earpiece, a single front-facing camera and a sensor for ambient light. The regular Pixel 3 will go with a more traditional 18:9 display without a notch much like the Pixel 2 XL.
On the back, we expect to see an all-glass panel rather than a glass and metal combination as seen on previous Pixel phones. You can still expect a dual tone color scheme, but the variant seen in the live image shows a very subtle difference between the white shade on the top and on the bottom. As per the person who leaked the photos, he top part will have a glossy look while the bottom will be a matte-like finish. The all-glass back suggests the upcoming Pixel phones will support wireless charging, although there’s still no confirmation on that.
Since these photos are of an early engineering model, some design elements may change when the final product is showcased in October. As for the specs, past reports say that the Pixel 3 is rumoured to bring a 5.4-inch 18:9 display while the Pixel 3 XL will get a 6.2-inch display with a taller 19:9 aspect ratio. Both the phones will of course be powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset, but there is no word yet on the memory and storage configurations we can expect. You can also expect USB Type-C support and Android P out-of-the-box.
