Microsoft Office 365 Consumer version to launched as subscription
Microsoft is reportedly working on a new version of Microsoft Office 365 which would be named as Microsoft 365 Consumer version. This would be a subscription bundle for its existing business customers. The present Microsoft businesses plans are currently includes bundles for Windows 10, Office 365, and Azure. The coming bundle would be complement for business users to existing Microsoft business users.
Though this has not been publicly announced by Microsoft, a job posting hinted the same. The job posting for Product Manager for M365 Consumer subscription, notes :The Subscription Product Marketing team is a new team being created to build and scale the Microsoft 365 Consumer Subscription.
According to the job posting the product manager has to identify, build, position and market a great new Microsoft 365 Consumer Subscription. The new Consumer subscription bundle includes, Windows 10, Office 365 Home, Skype, Cortana, Bing, Outlook Mobile, Microsoft To-Do and maybe MSN apps and services could figure into the picture.
This new subscription would be an option rather than a requirement as like M365 Business. A spokesperson said that nothing has to share of now, when asked about the release of the new Microsoft 365 consumer version. The coming Microsoft 365 Consumer Subscription falls under the domain of Modern Life and Devices.
