Tech: Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G is launched in India at this point of time where the competition gets fierce. The Chinese phone makers Oppo, Gionee, Vivo, and Xiaomi are battling fiercely. Now Karbonn, which was out of the league with its major market constituting of feature phones is now focusing on smartphones. Karbonn India launched the budget range smartphone Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G today.
The Karbonn K9 Kavach comes with an inbuilt UPI-based BHIM App. It also comes with a fingerprint scanner in order to ensure secure payment authorisation on the BHIM app.

The Karbonn K9 Kavach is a dual sim smartphone running on the Android 7.0 operating system. The phone is powered by a 1.25 Ghz Quad-Core processor which is coupled with a RAM of 1 Gigs. It flaunts a 5 Inch IPS display with 720×1280 pixel resolution which gives a little dull display.
Coming to the camera which is looked for the most now, it has a 5 Megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera with a decent camera quality. The rear camera sports an autofocus feature supported by single flash. This budget smartphone comes with 8GB of Inbuilt storage which is expandable up to 32GB via MicroSD card slot.
A 2,900 mAh battery fuels the Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G and it is expected to deliver 16 hours of battery usage. And as the name suggests the phone comes with 4G VoLTE connectivity feature.
It is officially announced at Rs. 5,209 and will be available only through offline stores. Karbonn has adopted the strategy to sell through offline channels in order to reach to the remotest town. This can also be seen as a strategy to take the retailers into confidence.
