4G support for dual sim rolling out for Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 6(2018)
Launched in April, Nokia 7 Plus, an all new medium range smartphone from HMD Global’s Nokia, comes with the new Snapdragon 660 SoC, but shocking enough, its only one sim slot offered 4G LTE support. After getting too many complaints of the flaw, Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Off HMD Global, has officially confirmed that not only Nokia 7 Plus but also Nokia 6 (2018) will be getting 4G LTE support for dual sim through latest software update. The updates are available through OTA, with the May Android Security patch. With this update, users will be able to use 4G LTE on both the Sim simultaneously.
If you still remember, both Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6 are a part of Android one programme and both run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. Priced at 18,999₹ for the 4GB variant, Nokia 6 comes with f/2.0 16 MP rear sensor, and 8MP front fixed-focus sensor, 64 GB storage and 5.5 inch full HD IPS LCD display. Snapdragon 630 SoC powers this device and a 3000 mAh battery with USB Type-C fast charging support provides the necessary juice.
On the other hand, Nokia 7 Plus with 18:9 aspect ratio 6 inch full HD+, IPS LCD display, 64GB storage, USB Type-C, fast charging, fingerprint scanner, audio jack and beautiful 12 MP + 13MP 2x optical zoom Zeiss optics setup is priced at 25,999₹ in India. Nokia 7 Plus draws its power from a 3800 mAh battery and has a front camera with 16 MP f/2.0 sensor. Both the smartphones have a good market range and the latest update might be a good omen for the future of HMD Global Nokia in India.
