Mohammed Shami Ruled Out in India Vs England ODI & T20I
Mohammed Shami the Pace Spearhead for India will not play in the T20I Series and ODI against England in January next year. The game was scheduled to take place on January 15, 2017. Unfortunately, his right knee got injured during his third Test against England in Vizag. Ishant Sharma may replace the UP-born Bengali Pacer.
Mohammed Shami will not be in action for nearly a month due to his right knee sustaining an unfortunate injury. As far as his cricket career this injury is not new. This 26-year-old bowler previously had an injury borne international cricket career. More than playing cricket he spends time taking rest and recouping from his injuries.
Shami played his last One Day International in World Cup 2015 Semi Finals in Sydney, Australia. That match was a loss for India as they won 6 back to back matches prior to that match. There is another player who missed out the chance to play at the One Day International. Nehra could not play in India Vs New Zealand due to an injury although his play throughout the year 2016 was impressive. Several players were ruled out for the England series due to injuries.
Rohit Sharma also cannot play the ODI against England. This may see Shikar Dhawan back in the India Squad. The Chennai Test Triple Centurion Karun Nair may be all set to strike for India Squad. India’s Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni might be seen leading the team after a gap of about 2 months time. India plays 3 T20Is and 2 ODIs against England. As per reports the Pacer from Delhi Ishant Sharma may get the chance to play at the India Vs England ODI to replace the injured Mohammed Shami.
