YSRCP all set to attract discontent TDP leaders
Andhra Pradesh: The recent reorganization of the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has to lead to widespread discontentment amongst the senior cadre of TDP like Bojjala GopalaKrishna, Bonda Uma, Shilpa Mohan Reddy and others. The main reason for such discontentment was appointing the Ex-YSRCP leaders to the cabinet and not giving any priority to the senior leaders in the party.
However, the political analysts have appreciated the move by TDP leader Nara Chandrababu Naidu and expressed their opinion that it was done with a view to increasing the parties strength in those regions where it has the poor reach and it’s a major step taken keeping in view the 2019 Assembly Elections. But now the opposition in Andhra Pradesh, the YSR Congress Party is trying to take an advantage of the situation at present. Already the senior leadership has delegated the task to various local leaders to attract all the discontent TDP leaders towards YSRCP.
This move by YSRCP Chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has come with a view to giving a befitting reply to operation ‘AAKARSH’ carried on Chandrababu Naidu in 2015 which lead to the weakening of YSRCP in parts of Costal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions. Firstly the party is trying to attract the MPTC’s and the ZPTC’s of TDP in order to strengthen itself at the root level and the move on to the upper cadre of the MLA’s and other local leaders. Y S Jagan has already given a warning signal to TDP that there a handful of leaders who are ready to move out from TDP and join the YSRCP by the time of 2019 Assembly Elections. If this really happens, no doubt that TDP would have to face the tough times which it did during the 2004-2014 period and that could be a major threat to its existence itself.
