Ex-TDP Minister Devineni Nehru dies of cardiac arrest

Vijayawada: Know for his strong political power in the town of Vijayawada, Devineni Nehru has won as the MLA of Kankipadu Assembly multiple times. Born in 1954 Devineni Rajashekar also popularly known as Devineni Nehru was first into agriculture. However, the various incidents which took place during his college days have forced him to become the students union leader. Post-death of his brother, with the support of then Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh NTR, Mr. Devineni Nehru entered into active politics.

The rivalry between Devineni and his counterparts the Vangaveeti’s family was very well known. The multiple incidents which took place between both the families shook the whole state and they were always in news. After the death of Vangaveeti Radha, the situation has cooled down. Devineni Nehru, aged 63 passed away on Monday morning of cardiac arrest at his residence in Hyderabad.
Devineni Nehru has also been known for the various philanthropic activities carried in Vijayawada and few say that’s one of the reasons why he was still able to sustain the fan following. Recently the controversial film maker RGV has made a movie on the rivalry between the Vangaveeti and Devineni’s family.

Though he entered into politics through TDP, he was later forced to shift to Congress party and again in 2014 he moved back to the Telugu Desam Party. His son Devineni Avinash has already entered into politics and it is believed that he would be taking the role of his father and directing the cadre of TDP in his region.

Mourning his death, the followers of Devineni have announced for Vijayawada bund. Speaking on the death of Devineni Nehru, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu said that the death of Nehru is a great loss for him personally and a great loss for the party as well.
