Andhra Pradesh: The news that the assembly elections are likely to be preponed is creating ripples in the political circle. This news has come out from few sources who are really closer to the ruling party TDP. It is said that the CM Nara Chandra Babu Naidu has cautioned the party cadre about the likely preponement of 2019 assembly elections.
It is also said that the Prime Minister is working towards ensuring that the Assembly elections and Parliament elections are conducted at the same time with the objective to cut the cost. The Andhra Pradesh CM is also positive towards this move and is planning to cash in the opportunity by implementing various government schemes and develop a confirmed vote bank.
Not just CBN, the Janasena party chief was positive towards this move by Narendra Modi. And he welcomed the move. He already started recruiting his party cadre yesterday by conducting written tests. He said in a press meet that he is ready to battle in the elections even if they are advanced further. Though he never contested directly in elections, Pawan Kalyan has the past experience of being a star campaigner for his brother Chiranjeevi in the 2009 Andhra Pradesh assembly elections. He wrapped up his recent project Katamarayudu and now is ready to be a full-time politician, unlike the past.
Though both Chandrababu and Pawan Kalyan are ready for the assembly elections, it seems that Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is still in the process. From the time his MLAs have changed from YSRCP to TDP his party has weakened in the assembly. He is in the process of planning the operation ‘AAKARSH’ to get his MLAs back and also planning to attract some of the TDP leaders. Post AP cabinet reorganization there are many MLAs who in order to express their discontentment are ready to leave the party.
