Raees Story:

Raees is the story of a man from Gujarat and is set in the early 1980’s and the director claims it to be a completely fictional story and is nowhere related to any person. The movie revolves around the life of a man who believes no business is neither big nor small and carries on an illegal liquor business. The rise and fall of Raees are shown throughout the movie and focuses on certain business principles followed by him which are now being taught to the B-school students. Raees with liquor mafia rises as an indestructible power in the state of Gujarat and then enters a policeman(Nawazuddin Siddiqui) officer who’s the only aim is to end the Raees’s raj.

Review:

Raees is portrayed as larger than life character with impeccable business skills which take him to the top most position. And Shahrukh Khan and Mahira Khan literally nailed it. The chemistry between both did work really well. The way he reacts when he calls someone battery sala will definitely give you goosebumps. Laila o Laila song comes at the right time and Sunny Leone definitely stole the show and this will be again one of her biggest cameos. Nawazuddin as a police offer did give tough competition to Shahrukh Khan.
There’s not even a single point where you can say went wrong in the direction department and Rahul Dholakia needs to be appreciated for this out and out masala entertainer. If Mahira Khan would have been in India definitely there would a huge number of movies in line for her and unfortunately that’s not gonna happen after the Pakistani actors being banned from Bollywood.
