Karna (Vishal) an army man who suffers from the anger issues is made to go back to his village. To get his daughter married, Karna’s father tries to procure a loan in the bank but are turned down by all the banks.
He then gets a loan with the help of fake documents. After the loan is approved, the money gets disappeared from the account which leads Vishal to a cyber criminal who is known as White Devil aka Satyamurthy (Arjun). What happens then is exciting and forms the story of the movie.
Vishal as an army officer is perfect. He has excelled in realistic action sequences. Arjun Sarja is excellent as the bad guy. His body language and facial expressions are superb. Samnatha Akkinnei comes in as a psychiatrist and does what she needs to do and nothing more. She looks pretty in nonglamourous avatar. Though she got limited screen space but her character in the film is noteworthy. Robo Shankar scores whenever he finds an opportunity. Delhi Ganesh has a commendable and sizable presence in the movie. Kaali Venkat, Vincent Asokan, and Madhusoodhanan justify with their roles.
Abhimanyudu is not just any other film that talks about hackers, this one is quite different, mainly because it creates fear inside you when you walk out of the theatre. It is informative. Number of technical terms involved in the narration. The songs are ok. The background score is pulsating and plays an integral part in Abhimanyudu especially during the pre-interval point and during the scenes where Vishal and Arjun meet. The cinmatography by George C Williams is flawless and the editing by Ruban is good.
The film has showed how technology could be misused .The director has handled the film well on technology basis and also added emotive content with roles of hero’s sister and father characters . It has to be seen how telugu audience will respond to receive themes of technology, hacking etc concepts in their evening entertainments .And how the film will be received in the mass circuits of B and C centres is the big question .
