Kamal Hasan Donate’s Rs 25 Lakh To Kerala Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund
It’s a hard time running out for Kerala from last one week, where flood has started lashing each part of the Kerala. However, the water level in the Idukki and Idamalayar reservoirs reduced, bringing some relief. Meanwhile Makkal Neethi Maimam Chief and actor Kamal Haasan has recenty contributed Rs 25 Lakh to Kerala Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund in the face of unprecedented floods in the state.
It was not actor himself to announce the contribution but Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s official Facebook page confirmed this.
As per the request of Kamal Hassan, Tamil channel Vijay TV has also decided to contribute Rs 25 lakh to the CMDRF. Pinarayi Vijayan thanked Kamal Hassan for the gesture. Kamal has also appealed to workers of his party and his fans to contribute generously to CMDRF.
Tamil actors Surya and brother Karthi have also promised Rs 25 lakh to the CMDRF.
There are many other actors out their including Mohanlal and Mammootty to Facebook as a platform to announce to appeal to their fans to support the flood victims.
According to reports, actor Mammootty even visited a relief camp at Puthenvelikkara in Ernakulam on Saturday. Mohanlal shared a photo showing an aerial view of the army undertaking relief operations in Kerala.
Actor’s like Prithviraj, Aashiq Abu, Manju Warrier, Jayaram, Amala Paul, Asha Sharath took other social media platform and appealed to support the Kerala flood victims.
The Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) too donated Rs 10 lakh to the CMDRF two days ago.
