Vidyut Jamwal named one of the 6 top martial artistes in the world
Recently, in the USA, the list of the world’s top martial artist released. Bollywood actor Vidyut Jamwal bags a rank in it. From India, only Vidyut made it to the list.
Mumbai: Bollywood action star Vidyut Jammwal, who is popular for is killer looks and daredevil stunts, has brought global recognition to Indian martial art form Kalaripayattu. Popular American website Looper has recently released a list of top martial artists across the globe and Vidyut has found a spot in the coveted list. Jammwal is the only Indian to have made it to this prestigious list.
Along with Jamwal, the Ilram Choi, Scott Adkins, Marco Zeror, Lateef Crowder, Wu Jing and Johnny Trí Nguyễn are also in the list. To let you know, Jamwal was born on December 10, 1980, in Jammu. He was one of three children born in an Indian Army officer’s home, lived across various parts of India (owing to his father’s transferable job) and trained in Kalaripayattu from an ashram in Palakkad, Kerala since he was three years old, which was run by his mother.
Not only this, Vidyut has also done live shows in more than 25 countries. He is fully trained in the martial arts. Before debuting in the films he did modelling. He started his acting career with Telugu film Shakti in 2011. The same year he worked in the film Force and now he is active in the Bollywood films.
On the work front, Vidyut has finished shooting for his next film ‘Junglee’. This action flick is helmed by Chuck Russell, who has directed some of the memorable Hollywood films such as ‘The Mask’ and ‘The Scorpion King’ among others.
