After playing action roles all through his career, Kalyan Ram is trying for an image makeover. He has gone for complete change of appearance for director Jayendra’s love story “Naa Nuvve”.
Story of the film:
Meera finds a book – Love Signs at a railway station, and then in a book shop, and then in her bedroom. It’s the same book, because the first page has the signature of ‘Kalyani’. She finds the photograph of Varun in the book and much to her own surprise; she concludes that Varun is her lucky charm. All she has to do is look at his picture and miracles begin to happen in her life. The rest of the story is about what happens when they meet and whether Meera’s faith in destiny sustains.
Kalyan Ram, this may help to connect with new audiences as he looks quite cool and classy. In the role of Varun, he is stylish and has played it with ease. As RJ Meera, Tamannah steals the show, but she looks a bit older for this character.Vennela Kishore and Praveen have appeared in routine characters. Tanikella as Tamannah’s father is just okay.
Naa Nuvve is a routine romantic drama which gets distracted by some wayward execution. Things could have been good but lack of grip in the narration makes things outdated. However, the positive outcome of the film is Kalyan Ram’s decent makeover and Tamannah’s screen presence which makes things interesting at times. If you are the one who likes love stories and is okay with the slow pace of the film, you can give this movie a shot. But for the rest, things can get quite tedious.
