OnePlus 6 to receive Oxygen OS 5.1.9 soon
The new OnePlus 6 is now receiving the new OTA update for its latest version of its system software which is OxygenOS 5.1.9. The new update will be available as an OTA for all the OnePlus users on the stock software, and the expansion of it will be gradual as always and will reach all users of the OnePlus 6 in the next few days.
The update size is about 342MB and also brings the OnePlus six onto the July Android security patch from Google.
OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T will now be receiving OxygenOS Open Beta 14 and Open Beta 12 respectively.
Significant improvements to this phone will come in the camera department, as OnePlus has somewhat tweaked some of its algorithms and software which brings about getting better photos on the phone. Also on front camera, a beauty mode for selfie portrait has been added. OnePlus earlier added the selfie portrait mode itself through an OTA update, soon after the launch of OnePlus 6.
The other significant change on the camera front is the addition of Google Lens mode in the previous camera app. This allows users to use Google Lens AI image detection scans directly through the phone’s primary camera app, through a separate mode which can be accessed by swiping up from the camera app itself. Google Lens mode earlier was introduced in the OnePlus 5 and 5T through the open beta program.
On the system front also there are a few big changes. Apart from the Android security patch update, issues with accidental touches that triggered gestures have now been fixed, Wi-Fi stability has also been optimized and a Bluetooth stability issue for connections with car audio kits has also been fixed. Apart from this, general bug fixes and improvements are also present.
The new update is awaited by everyone is all set to fix all the major bugs in One plus series.
