Royal Enfield has just unveiled the limited edition 2018 Royal Enfield Classic 500 Pegasus.
Based on the Classic 500, the Pegasus edition is highly-inspired by the brand’s 1930s Flying Flea and the British Army’s Parachute Regiment. This very special and very limited version of the Classic 500 is highly-inspired by the brand’s 125cc Royal Enfield Flying Flea which was built and served in World War II.
The Flying Flea was a very lightweight 125cc machine which was built in the 1930s and served until the 1960s
The new motorcycle was launched with an aerial display from the Army’s Red Devils parachute display team. The 10 paratroopers leapt from a Dakota C47 military transport plane above Imperial War Museum Duxford near Cambridge on Monday, then posed for photos with an original Flying Flea and a new Classic 500 Pegasus.
The launch event was attended by veterans including 92-year-old Fred Glover, who was just 17 when he joined the 9th Parachute Battalion during the Second World War.
Only 1,000 units will be made and priced around £5,000 (RM26,656) in Indian currency 4.5 lakh.
