Pro Kabaddi auction 2018 Day 1 Highlights: Monu Goyat sold for Rs 1.51 crore, Rahul Chaudhari gets 1.29 crore

Pro Kabaddi League returns for its sixth edition, with the auction for Season 6 all set to take place on Wednesday and Thursday in Mumbai. A total of 422 players will go under the hammer during a two-day-auction.
Monu Goyat became the costliest pick on the first day of the Pro Kabaddi League 2018 auctions when he fetched an amount of 1.51 Cr during the bidding. Goyat was sold to Haryana Steelers in the process. While Goyat broke the records with the amount he got, Rahul Chaudhari too attracted a lot of limelight after he was sold to Delhi for 1.29 Cr.

Nitin Tomar, Rishank Devadiga and Deepak Niwas Hooda also crossed the 1 Cr-mark. Tomar and Hooda fetched 1.15 Cr during the auctions and they were sold to Puneri Paltan and Jaipur Pink Panthers respectively. Devadiga got 1.11 Cr and he was sold to UP.
In the first half of PKL auction, Fazel Atrachali emerged as the most expensive player in Pro Kabaddi history. He was bought by U Mumbai for Rs 1 crore breaking the previous record of Nitin Tomar who was bought by UP Yoddha for Rs 93 lakh. Also, another interesting buy was by Dabang Delhi who got their hand on Khomsan Thongkham. The Thailand international was the second most successful raider during Kabaddi World Cup 2016.
The second half experienced big Indian players going under the hammer. The likes of Rahul Chaudhari, Nitin Tomar, Anup Kumar and Surender Nada were the biggest attractions of PKL auction.
