The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday repeated the history again and lifted the IPL 2018 trophy. opener Shane Watson led the team to the victory with his blitzkrieg century off 53 balls with the help of 11 boundaries and 8 sixes. Repeating the history, Chennai lifted the IPL trophy for the 3rd time after 2010 and 2011 under the captaincy of MS Dhoni.
After 59 close battles among 8 teams, Chennai Super Kings defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad in the final match on Sunday, May 27 at Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. The team lifted the trophy for the 3rd time and made a superb comeback after facing a ban of 2-years. Australian batsman Shane Watson led the team to the victory with his blitzkrieg century. The yellow army dominated Hyderabad from the start of the innings and tied the ball with boundary throughout till the chase.
Shane Watson took only 57 balls to hit a ton with 11 boundaries and 8 sixes. Aussie was accompanied by Suresh Raina who scored 32 runs in the same style. Kane Williamson and co. had no answer to Watson’s hard-hitting and every bowler was punished with fours and sixes.
