Apple Starts Shipping Its Much Anticipated Airpods To Customers
Apple has finally started shipping its much-anticipated Airpods to its customers. The tech giant has been delivering its pre-orders that it has received for its Airpods. The sales of new wireless earphones have gone live as per a media report.
Customers who have pre-ordered the device have received a message that their orders have been shipped and were slated to arrive as promised on December 21.
Apple, at the launch of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in September 2016 has announced its first very wireless earphones. The sale of the device started from December 13.
Apple named its wireless earphones as AirPods and put them up for sale at a price of Rs. 15, 400 in India. As per the report, AirPods are one of the most anticipated items from Apple. Thankfully, the first supply of the items has been done quickly pushing back shipment estimates to four weeks mere hours after release.
Other than just pre-order shipments, AirPods are said to be made available for sale in Apple retail stores along with mobile carrier outlets and authorized Apple resellers by as early as next week.
Specs of Apple AirPods
AirPod is powered by Apple’s new W1 wireless chip, which allows quick pairing and connectivity with the iPhone. The earphones are wire-free and come with separate ear buds that are not connected to each other.
The pods houses dual optical sensors and accelerometers in each ear bud which work in collaboration with W1 chip that detects when the headphones are in ears and only play when the user is ready to listen.
Double-tapping will enable AirPods Siri and microphone is designed to focus on voice and filter out external sound. The battery lasts up to five hours on single charge.
